The amount that we charge is based on the size (i.e. cubic meters) of the cargo that you are shipping. Please use our online booking tool to get a quote. Alternatively visit our shipping cargo page for more information on pricing of bespoke cargo. When the cargo arrives at our depot, we will remeasure the package and adjust the price accordingly.
Yes. We provide a range of different insurance solutions for shipment to Jamaica. You can get in contact with us to arrange specialist freight insurance.
No. It is impossible for any shipping company to guarantee ship arrival times, any shipment company suggesting otherwise is misleading you. Be careful. We offer shipment tracking to our customers to ensure you can locate your items from departure to arrival. Carib Shipping will do everything that we can to make sure your cargo arrives according to our sailing schedule, but we cannot control factors that are beyond our control that may affect the arrival time. We advise any customers who need to ensure that their cargo arrives by a certain date, to ship their items earlier to minimise the risk of missing a deadline in case of delays. Delays are more likely to occur during the peak season, which is from the end of October until January the following year, so please see the Useful Info section of our website prior to shipping your goods.
Freight charges are payable at the time of booking but any charges that occur at the final destination are the responsibility of the consignee/collector. In order to avoid any delays and unnecessary storage charges, we advise all customers that they pay these charges at the time of booking. Please see our helpful guide sections prior to shipping your goods.

You are responsible for making sure that your cargo is adequately packed and addressed for shipment. Please remember that cargo can sometimes hit rough weather during transit and potential rough handling at destination warehouses in Jamaica which Carib Shipping has no control over.
You should always make sure that you mark the address of the consignee clearly on each package. Please view our video on how to address your shipment correctly.
No. We specialise in shipping from London to Jamaica only.
If you wish to insure a small package, such as a barrel, we can provide insurance for the total loss of a package up to the value of £400. You would only be able to make a claim if the package and its entire contents were lost. You would not be able to claim for loss/damage to individual items in the barrel.
Please note that insurance companies will not accept claims for any items that are missing from remotely packed cargo, as it is virtually impossible to prove what items were loaded in the first place or determine their value. If you wish to insure valuable items, please do the following:
Have the item packed professionally for shipping?
Declare the value of the item, preferably backed up with a commercial invoice at the time of booking.
Sign the insurance documents prior to your cargo being delivered to our warehouse.

Every care is taken when loading cars to ensure that they are not damaged in handling or transit. Unlike some companies, we do not load cargo in, on top of, under or around your car and we offer competitive freight rates based on the size of your vehicle.
